The Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate in Saskatoon hosted their SSMI Associates at their home for a one-day retreat on May 11, 2010, during which they also renewed their commitment as SSMI Associates. Ten Associates attended, as well as one non-Associate guest.
Fr. John Sianchuk, CSsR, guided their retreat on the theme “Thirsting for Jesus: The Woman at the Well.” Having presented his talks, Fr. John offered them some time for quiet reflection, after which the participants shared their reflections in pairs, and then in the larger group – a day of extended faith sharing on this Gospel passage.
The Associates renewed their commitments in the context of the Divine Liturgy, celebrated in the SSMI home chapel by Fr. John. A supper followed, catered by Touch of Ukraine Catering, of Saskatoon. The day was truly joyful, throughout!
